Press and hold for variants

Like accented letters on a phone keyboard: you press and hold a button and its variants appear around it. Drag to the one you want and release to log it.

Example animation: the gesture is in development and may look different in the app.

What it is for

For tricks with many versions, such as pass numbers in kitesurf freestyle, without filling the grid.

How to turn it on

In Settings → Set up buttons, under “Advanced gestures”, turn on “Press and hold for variants”. Each trick’s variants come from the deck.

What it looks like

The variants fan out above the button; the one under your finger lights up.

How to cancel

Release your finger outside the fan and nothing is logged.
