Advanced gestures
Advanced gestures
Updated 11 October 2026 · Guide v2026.10.11
Gestures for logging faster and without looking at the screen. They are optional: if you leave them off, the desk stays as usual.
Key flicks are now available; the other gestures are in development.
In practice, on your own sheet, you get them with the Pro plan. At an event they depend on what the organisation has purchased, not on your plan.
Turn them on one by one in Settings → Set up buttons, under Advanced gestures. They all start off; without Pro, the switches are locked and labelled “Pro”.
Most are for button mode on the button desk (surf, kitesurf freestyle…); the line-crossing alert is for gesture mode. They will come to composer desks later.
| Gesture | What it does | Devices |
|---|---|---|
| Key flicks | Swiping down on a button logs its second trick. | All |
| Press and hold for variantsIn development | Holding a button opens its variants; drag to one and release. | All |
| Marking menusIn development | Hold and drag in a direction to log the trick with its mark. | All |
| Suggestion barIn development | The 3 or 4 most likely tricks, one tap away. | All |
| Line-crossing alertIn development | In gesture mode, alerts you when the stroke crosses the reference line. | Android: vibrates · iPhone and iPad: click |
| Physical remotes and keyboardIn development | A pedal, a clicker or a Bluetooth keyboard act as buttons. | With a Bluetooth remote or keyboard |
| Two-finger undoIn development | Tapping with two fingers at once undoes the last trick. | All |
Tip Start with key flicks and press and hold; add marking menus once you know the desk well.
